            Each year the VFW selects an emergency services person, a law enforcement officer and a firefighter to receive a VFW Public Servants Award Citation. Post Safety Chairman submit their candidates for these awards to the Department Safety Chairman by 15 December. The Department Chairman selects a single candidate for each category and submits these winners to National. 

Documentation Needed for Each Category

Nomination letter containing nominees name, title, address, telephone and identifying the award the individual is considered for

One page resume of the candidate's overall background

One page resume of the candidate's background in their field

One page listing of the candidate's accomplishments and awards in their field

Photograph (prefer head shot)of the candidate

All documents should be contained in a presentation folder
